ALL RUGGED UP

Ahh the humble throw, the easiest way to style a room has turned people everywhere into master decorators since they first became a big thing in early 2015.  Now, the throw market has evolved to include all sorts of fabrics, textures and styles, which we are totally stoked about.  Because whilst we miss the warmth of summer, there is nothing quite as relaxing as snuggling up on the couch under a cosy throw during these colder months.

In our opinion, the throw is simply one of the most versatile and easy styling pieces to hit the home décor market in recent years.  Aside from all the practical elements (you know - warmth, comfort, all that nice stuff) these styling gems can add colour to a plain room, create textures, introduce patterns and completely transform the entire atmosphere, all with the flick of a wrist!

Throws are a great transeasonal piece that can be used in just about every room in the house.  Follow these handy tips and tricks and you’ll be one step closer to getting that magazine-worthy home you’ve always dreamed of.

Warm up this winter by draping your favourite throw or chunky knit blanket over the end of your bed.  Not only does this add a stylish touch to your bedroom décor but It’s also perfect for a little extra coverage on those chilly nights!

We are loving the luxe, fashionable feel of faux-fur throws, arranged over your bed or living room couch.   Opt for an extra large style to create a luxurious, draped look and throw in some matching cushions for a super stylish effect.

Up the comfort-factor on your favourite chair in a major way simply by adding a throw.  Either choose a larger style and fold it over the back of the chair or opt for a smaller version to keep some of the chair visible.

We love the clean, fresh feel a throw can bring to the room when styled in a simple way.  To get the look, choose a neutral coloured or monochrome throw that matches the rest of the room and drape it neatly on the end of your bed or couch.
