I’m thrilled to announce my support for Jeans for Genes and the Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI). This year, I’ll be joining them for their fifth annual Jeans for Genes Excellence Ball (formerly known as the Jeans for Genes Dinner and Auction) on Friday 24th June from 6pm till late in the Grand Ballroom at the Four Points by Sheraton in Sydney.
The event is a major black tie charity fundraiser of the year for the CMRI, with all funds raised from the night helping researchers who work tirelessly to discover treatments and cures for children born with a genetic disease, which currently affects 1 in every 20 Aussie kids.
This year’s event highlights excellence - those who have gone above and beyond in their fields. Australian Olympic champion swimmer, Daniel Kowalski, is master of ceremonies and will take those in attendance on an uplifting journey, highlighting the great achievements of CMRI and the night's special guests. I will also be conducting a special Q&A session with four time Paralympic gold medallist, Ellie Cole.
The Jeans for Genes Excellence Ball marks the first charity event to be hosted in the glamourous new Grand Ballroom at the Four Points by Sheraton. You can expect a night of fine dining and great entertainment, with performances by Martini Club and tenor Dave Sanders as well as a silent auction with prizes on offer from a portrait painted by Archibald prize winning artist Cherry Hood, to dinner with Daniel Kowalski himself.
