When you start "taste-testing" your mini-me's food "just to check it" but really it's because it tastes delicious, you know you’re onto a winner.

Yep, this was the case with Nourishing Bubs, an Australian brand of vegetable purees that we wanted to give you the low-down on. Nourishing Bubs is 100% vegetables pureed into frozen cubes for a quick and simple way to get your kids to eat vegetables. I can hear the cheers already!

Olivia Bates is a dietician and expert in paediatric nutrition who created Nourishing Bubs after seeing the effects of obesity in later life. Olivia says that while there are many initiatives that focus on combatting adult obesity or on improving the nutritional integrity of food supply, the efforts that are targeted at children and babies are far less common.

So as any #girlboss would do, Olivia created a product for children that is 100% natural, has no artificial colourings or flavourings, preservatives, sugar, fruit or thickeners and best of all – it’s easy to prepare for mums and dads.

Nourishing Bubs is a great way to introduce solids to babies, but it’s also great for kids (and adults!) of any age. The 100% Australian vegetables are snap frozen to extend the shelf life while also keeping all the nutrients intact. We love putting ours in bolognese, risotto, shepherd’s pie, lasagne, sauces and soups.

There are so many different types of veggies that Olivia has included in the Nourishing Bubs range and what we love about it is that they’re singular vegetables (not combinations of two or more vegies) so it’s great when we’re trying to figure out if the little ones have any allergies.

We've listed out the range of veggies here, but even better, you can also get a starter pack with a sample of every flavour. Genius!

  • Beetroot
  • Broccoli
  • Capsicum
  • Carrot
  • Cauliflower
  • Parsnip
  • Peas
  • Pumpkin
  • Sweet Potato

We love everything about Nourishing Bubs... if you’ve got a baby starting on solids or if you’ve just got a very fussy eater on your hands, then definitely give it a go!
