These days, everyone wants to be ‘superwoman’.  We want to attend all the school events, be successful at work, make it to every social outing and we want to do it all with a smile and a spring in our step.  But there’s a difference between everyone thinking you’re superwoman and actually feeling ‘super’ yourself.  

For us, feeling super means feeling light, active and clean from the inside out.  It’s about taking steps to ensure you always get the most out of every day.  And at the risk of bragging too much, we think we’ve got these steps pretty down pat!

Sure, we could put it down to a good diet, consistent workouts and one too many coffees.  But the truth is, it’s actually all the other little things have the biggest impact.  Yep, whether it’s taking a super wellness supplement, using the stairs instead of the elevator or sipping on one green smoothie a day, it’s those little things that get you to true ‘super’ status.  

Feeling sluggish and heavy can seriously slow down your day.  Who has time for that?  Not us!  And we’re sure you guys don’t either.  That’s why we’ve put together some of our top tips to help you feel cleaner, lighter and more active to help you feel super every single day…

Way too many people underestimate the importance of having a fibre supplement in their diet.  It’s the key to feeling clean from the inside out!  And that’s why it had to be number one on our list.

We personally use Metamucil as our fibre supplement because it’s made from 100% natural psyllium, which has sooo many health benefits.  Not only does it help you feel lighter and more active but it also helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels* and cleanse your insides.  

We’ve also found, that out of all the fibre supplements out there, Metamucil has been the easiest one to work into our diet.  Stir it into juice, mix it with water or take a tip from the SWIISH team and blend it into your super green smoothie!  

We like to call this drink our ‘Daily Glass of Super’ because it’s such a quick, easy addition to your day and yet it makes SUCH a huge difference to the way you feel.  

It’s no secret that we loooove our Super Green Smoothies for their slimming, energy-boosting, detoxing benefits.  But what a lot of people don’t know is that they’re also amazing for digestion.

Aside from super green smoothies and fibre supplements, we also like to work fermented foods into our meals when we can.  This is because fermented and cultured foods promote the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut, which leads to better digestion.  They also help to clean out your system a bit, which will make you feel lighter, leaner and cleaner.

Do you ever find that sitting at a desk for hours on end can be even more draining than running around all day?  It’s because exercise wakes up your muscles, makes your blood pump faster and improves your overall mood.  For us, doing simple things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, going for a walk during lunch or even just getting up and stretching now and again can make a huge difference to the way we feel.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – sleep is crucial.  We never feel ‘super’ if we haven’t had our eight hours!   We try to turn off technology at least one hour before bedtime, stretch and do a bit of reading to make sure we get a good quality sleep every night.

Although all these steps don’t seem like much, you wouldn’t believe what a difference they make.  For us, they’re the difference between feeling average and feeling super.  Everybody’s different though and that’s why we want to know, what makes you feel super?
