THE SCIENCE

Glow Getter Sheet Mask – Skin Brightening

Hyperpigmentation is a common skin concern that many face, and is often a result of sun damage, scarring, age and other causes. There are various treatment options, but topical depigmenting agents, such as nicotinamide (also known as niacinamide or vitamin B3) have shown to be of great benefit. Studies have determined that topical skincare formulations containing nicotinamide can help improve hyperpigmentation and overall appearance.

Collagen Under-Eye Mask – Dark Circles & Puffiness

This intensive under-eye treatment is designed for frequent use and contains only natural, clean ingredients. There is a vast vascular network right behind the skin under your eyes. This provides little coverage causing them to look dark in appearance, with fluid build-up also causing under-eyes to appear puffy. Some of this liquid contains the breakdown products of haemoglobin (a component of red blood cells), that contribute to its dark purplish colour. The unique blend of hydrating ingredients are specifically designed to combat these signs of puffiness, tiredness, and darkness under the eyes when used on a regular basis. We recommend placing the Collagen Under-Eye Masks in the fridge overnight for a cooling sensation and maximum reduction in under-eye puffiness.

EXTRA INFO

How often should you use the Rose Quartz Gua Sha?

You can use the Gua Sha daily, generally 1-2 times a day is recommended. When used in the evening, it helps stimulate circulation and increase absorption of your evening serums/oils into the skin.

What’s the difference between the Rose Quartz Gua Sha and the Rose Quartz Face Roller?

You can check out the different benefits between a Gua Sha and Face Roller as well as the best time and way to use them here.

How often should you use the Rose Quartz Face Roller?

You can use the face roller daily, generally 1-2 times a day is recommended. When used in the morning, the Rose Quartz Face Roller helps reduce signs of puffiness from liquid build-up after laying horizontal for a few hours straight. When used at night, it works in harmony with oils and serums for better absorption into the skin.

How do you clean the Rose Quartz Face Roller & how often?

After each use, wash your face roller with warm water and gentle soap. Then dry it with a soft cloth.

Will the Glow Getter Sheet Mask help with reducing puffiness and redness?

Although this mask is designed to improve skin hydration, it can also help reduce facial puffiness, redness and inflammation. To further support this, we recommend placing the sheet mask in the fridge overnight so that the cooling sensation is able to help further refresh and calm the skin.

How often should you use the Glow Getter Sheet Mask?

For best results we recommend 3-4 times a week.

Do you have to wash your face before using a sheet mask?

Yes! Sheet masks work their best when applied to a clean face as this allows all the natural ingredients to absorb efficiently into the skin and work their glow-getter magic. If applied to skin that still has makeup or other heavy creams/serums on it, you may experience clogged pores.

Should you wash your face after using a sheet mask?

It’s recommended not to as this will remove some of the highly nourishing ingredients that are helping hydrate the skin. If you find you have excess serum left on your skin after removing the mask, you can gently massage what’s remaining into your skin.

Are the Collagen Under-Eye Masks only good for certain skin types?

No, the beauty of this product is that it is recommended for all skin types.

Why is there collagen in the Collagen Under-Eye Masks?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, designed for supporting skin strength and elasticity predominantly. Around your mid-twenties, collagen begins to decline by 1-2% each year resulting in thinner, dryer skin. Even though the actual skin pigment remains, the stretched skin causes increased transparency to the vascular network just below the under-eye surface. This is where collagen becomes an important addition to these under-eye masks, helping to improve their efficacy at reducing under-eye dark circles.

Do you have to wash your face before using the Collagen Under-Eye Masks?

Yes! Under-eye masks work their best when applied to a clean face as this allows the natural ingredients to absorb efficiently into the skin.

Should you wash your face after using the Collagen Under-Eye Masks?

It’s recommended not to as this will remove some of the high-performance, natural ingredients that are helping reduce under-eye bags, dryness, and puffiness. If you find you have excess serum or moisture left on your skin after removing the eye masks, you can gently massage what’s remaining into your skin.

Why is the Konjac Sponge more effective than a traditional scrub exfoliant?

The Konjac Sponge works well with all skin types as it is gentle – it doesn’t remove important oils and moisture from the face. Other harsh scrubs can irritate skin and cause redness and inflammation, whereas the Konjac Sponge works to gently (but effectively) slough off dry skin leaving the skin bright, soft, and smooth.

How often should you use the Konjac Sponge?

Because the Konjac Sponge is a gentle exfoliant you can use it 1-2 times daily (in your morning and evening beauty routine) as opposed to other scrubs that are only recommended for use every 1-2 weeks because of how harsh they are.
