I am a little bit of a Rachel Zoe fan. OK.. a lot of a Rachel Zoe fan. Her chic style and ability to work every look to perfection – boho babe, vintage queen, monochrome minimalist… I could be here for hours describing her many looks that I love. But no matter the outfit, there is one thing that is a definite R. Zoe signature finish to pretty much every look – and that’s her perfect bordeaux mani. I am ohhhhbsessed.
How do you find that perfect shade, though?

Well, Rachel herself wears Tom Ford’s Bordeaux Lust shade (get yours below), which I love.
The thing with rich wine colours is that they look super-chic especially when styled with gold jewellery and black leather or sequins. I love glamming up my bordeaux mani with a clean make-up palette and a LBD, it’s perfect for a night out.
To achieve perfect paws this season, we’ve put a few tips together for you:
-
Choose a glitter-free polish in a deep red that has a slight tinge of purple through it
-
Keep nails short and rounded with this colour
-
Use a nail buffer to smooth the surface before you swipe on your base coat
-
Make sure you use a base coat to prevent the colour staining your nails
-
A shiny topcoat will not only give your manicure a professional look but it will last longer and prevent chipping
-
This look is amazing when paired with an assortment of rings and bracelet
